Guaranteed Entry to VIT

Graduates of Blended Learning International’s Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership (Australian Qualifications Framework Level 8) can progress to the Victorian Institute of Technology’s Master of Business Administration (Australian Qualifications Framework Level 9) with significant advanced standing. This formal pathway provides a fast, flexible transition from applied leadership studies into postgraduate business management.

About the Partnership

Blended Learning International (BLI) has entered into a formal articulation agreement with the Victorian Institute of Technology (VIT) to recognise prior learning from BLI’s Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership towards VIT’s Master of Business Administration (MBA). The arrangement is designed to uphold Australian higher education standards and provide a high-quality student experience across multiple delivery modes.

• Faster completion – Receive credit for 8 MBA units (fifty percent of the degree), leaving eight units to complete.

• Flexible study options – Choose fully online (distance), hybrid (online plus a short on-campus capstone), or full on-campus study in Australia.

• Work-integrated learning – Option to complete a three-month industry project in Australia as the capstone in the hybrid mode.

Pathway and Credit

Sending Qualification (Blended Learning International): Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership (AQF Level 8), delivered in English under RTO Code 110068.

Destination Qualification (Victorian Institute of Technology): Master of Business Administration (AQF Level 9), with options for a General MBA or MBA (Leadership and Management).

 

Graduates receive advanced standing for eight units (equivalent to fifty percent of the MBA). Students then complete the remaining eight units at VIT.

Delivery Options for the MBA

To ensure flexibility for domestic and international graduates, VIT offers the MBA program in three modes:

 

Online (Distance):

Study fully online from your home country. All learning and assessments are delivered virtually. No student visa is required.

Hybrid (Online + Short Capstone in Australia):

Complete almost all units online, then undertake a short on-campus capstone (approximately three months) in Australia.
  • Industry Project (BUS6400W): Three-month placement at an Australian business.
  • Business Project (BUS6400C): On-campus simulated or collaborative project.

On-Campus (Full Onshore):

Study full-time at the Melbourne campus as an international student. A student visa and standard international student requirements apply.

Admission Requirements and Process

1. Complete Blended Learning International’s Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership.

2. Apply to the Victorian Institute of Technology for the MBA, indicating the BLI pathway.

3. Provide certified copies of your qualification and transcript. If the Graduate Diploma was delivered and assessed in English, this satisfies English language proficiency.

4. Receive formal credit approval and enrol in your remaining eight MBA units.

5. Select your delivery mode: online, hybrid, or on-campus in Melbourne.

Note: This is not a packaged Confirmation of Enrolment arrangement. Students complete the Graduate Diploma first and then apply separately to the MBA.
