To provide understanding of the structure of the education system and the influence and potential of public policy in determining educational processes and outcomes.
Examination of the levels of education, their nature and the behaviours of participants; review of the objectives and purposes of public policy for education and the levers and instruments used to advance these; consideration of reform opportunities ahead. Interaction with fellow participants and staff will be encouraged and practical applications utilised to focus understanding.
Upon completion, participants will have a clear knowledge of education systems, the stakeholders and policies and the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders including techniques to enhance involvement.
The complete program costs $900 with a 20% discount for three or more enrolments from a single organisation. No prerequisites are required. A certificate of participation will be provided upon completion. The program delivery is capped at twenty, to allow discussion and any individual attention needed for learning.
The program requires attendance at two three-hour sessions on consecutive days. It can be provided on demand for enrolments of ten or more. The presently scheduled program will operate 9.30am- 1.00pm with a tea break at the BLI Training Facility.
