Local Support for International Students

Airport pickup:

The airport pickup service is available to interstate or international students, including Study Abroad and Exchange students, commencing their first semester at the University or College.

Our Staff will meet you at the airport/Bus Centre when you arrive and will transport you directly to your chosen address.

Bookings must be made at least three business days prior to your arrival (Monday to Friday Australian Eastern Standard Time).

Homestay placement:

BLI works with Australian Homestay Network to provide homestay placements for visitors or students in Canberra. We inspect every homestay and always match the interests of our students to those of our families.
Students will enjoy everyday activities with their homestay host including:

• Being shown around the community
• Help with the basics of Australian culture
• Taking part in everyday conversation
• Learning basics such as buying transport tickets, where the local shops are, how to access banking, internet, mobile phone and personal safety tips
