Mentoring

Purpose:

Mentoring is a valuable tool for developing staff members’ capacities within any organisation. A good mentor and mentoring program possesses a range of positive qualities that can enhance an organisation’s ability to realise its potential.

This workshop has been conducted for many years in high performance sport environments achieving outstanding outcomes. This proven program is now available for business application to individuals, and the private and public sectors. This program is designed for both new and existing mentors and mentees.

 Content:

  • Enhancing the development of individuals through mentoring.
  • Facilitating effective learning through mentoring.
  • Establishing an effective mentor / mentee relationship for long term success.
  • Communicate effectively as a critical skill for all mentors.

Outcomes:

At the conclusion of this program all participants will have a clear understanding of the benefits from a mentor/mentee relationship for individuals and organisations. Specific outcomes for new and existing mentors include a focus on the development of mentoring skills such as providing feedback, communication and interpersonal skills. Specific outcomes for mentees from this program will firstly be the provision of excellent networking opportunities, development of new skills and the opportunity to learn from the best! Mentees will also have the opportunity to think about their own professional growth and development requirements.

This program will help organisations that place their staff on this program, to benefit from the skills you have learned to be applied in the workplace to effectively coach team members for improved performance and results.

Cost and Conditions:

The complete program costs $450 with a 20% discount for five or more enrolments from a single organisation. No prerequisites are required. A certificate of participation will be provided upon completion. The course delivery is capped at fifteen, to allow discussion and any individual attention needed for learning.

Location and Time:

The program requires attendance at one full day session. It can be provided on demand for enrolments of ten or more.  The presently scheduled program will operate 9.30am- 4.30pm with a tea break and lunch break at the BLI Training Facility.

Corporate Workshops/Blended Delivery: Sessions by negotiation. Includes In-house design and delivery, and customised courseware and assessment in accordance with the workplace requirements.
