Communication Skills Workshop – Be aware of your communication skills

Purpose:

This workshop investigates the effectiveness of the participants’ communication skills in relation to sending and receiving messages.It highlights the importance of body language and non-verbal cues.The workshop consists of a number of interactive exercises that reinforce the theoretical concepts being delivered. The emphasis is on how each participant can improve their own communication effectiveness.

Content:

• Core communication skills
• Active listening and questioning techniques
• Effective clearly, confident and assertive communications with others
• Understanding cultural differences in communication style
• Politeness across cultures
• Identify and better understand your key stakeholders
• Understand and practice techniques for influencing and gaining ‘buy in’ from others

Outcomes:

At the conclusion of this program participants will have a strong understanding of their own communication skills with particular emphasis on personal improvement to achieve delivery of required messages. Participants will also learn how to avoid confusion in their communication style.

This program will help organisations who place their staff on this program, to have improved clear communications within the workplace. Individuals undertaking this program will benefit from the ability to project clear communications to achieve their desired outcomes.

Cost and Conditions:

The complete program costs $450 with a 20% discount for five or more enrolments from a single organisation. No prerequisites are required. A certificate of participation will be provided upon completion. The program delivery is capped at fifteen, to allow discussion and any individual attention needed for learning.

Location and Time:

The program requires attendance at one full day session. It can be provided on demand for enrolments of ten or more.  The presently scheduled program will operate 9.30am- 4.30pm with a tea break and lunch break at the BLI Training Facility.

Corporate Workshops/Blended Delivery: Sessions by negotiation. Includes In-house design and delivery, and customised courseware and assessment in accordance with the workplace requirements.
