Another success for our second Career Information Session: ‘Getting a Graduate Job with Winning Selection Criteria’

The session titled ‘Getting a Graduate Job with Winning Selection Criteria’ had students engage in informativeĀ discussions together with speakers and amongst themselves.

The last of Blended Learning International and ANU ISA’s Career Information Session closed with tremendous success.

This concludes a two part series of talks held in partnership with ANU ISA. The session titled ‘Getting a Graduate Job with Winning Selection Criteria’ had students engage in informativeĀ discussions together with speakers and amongst themselves.

The session was held last Tuesday 19 September 2015 at ANU Copland Lecture Theatre.

Our board, Glenn Withers along with Gracia Santoso from the ANU ISA opened the session which was then followed by Keith Cantlie, Principal and Managing Director of Cantlie Recruitment. Cantlie delivered an insightful talk on selection criteria’s – a mystery to many applicants and employers alike. He also stressed the importance on ensuring that job applications showcase student’s compatibility, commitment and capability to the role.

Following this, Katrina Howard, Executive Coach from Katrina Howard Coaching discussed with students the STAR approach and how to ensure your CV, Cover Letter and Selection Criteria is aligned. Students were encouraged to talk to their peers about any transferable skills acquired while studying.

Reception with pizza and drinks were provided at the end of the event, with closing remarks by our CEO Lisa Materano. Blended Learning International would like to thank ANU ISA for the successful collaboration, as well as the participation of speakers and students.
