澳大利亚联邦大学起源于870年，是澳大利亚历史第三悠久的教育机构，连年被澳大利亚 “优秀大学指南”评为“教学质量优秀五星级”大学。其毕业生就业率、毕业生满意度在澳洲名列前茅。

澳大利亚联邦大学是维州唯一同时提供高等教育、职业技术培训项目以及重大科研机会的地区性公立大学，同时还提供数百个跨学科的课程。学校宗旨是通过优质的高等教育经历，激励学生取得个人成功。
